In the BBC LIST of Best of 2013: Top 10 books, they placed Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie as No. 1. According to BBC Culture:

Chimamanda Adichie is bold and fearless coupled with fact that she is very vocal keeps gives some sort of leverage but to say she is "supremely smart" I reserve my comment
